Done for you · not another app
A Google Sheets consultant you can actually hire — and who actually builds it.
Formulas, dashboards, automations, or just untangling the sheet you already have. One real person, a flat price agreed up front, and most work back in 24–48 hours.
The problem
You need a Sheets person, not a two-week ticket
You know exactly what you want your spreadsheet to do. You just don’t want to spend your weekend learning QUERY, ARRAYFORMULA, and Apps Script to get there.
So you look for help — and it’s the same two walls every time. The agency wants a discovery call, a scope doc, and $120 an hour on a meter you can’t see. The freelance marketplace has someone who’ll “get to it Tuesday,” then next Tuesday, and you’re back to guessing what it’ll cost and when it lands.
You don’t need a project. You need the sheet built, this week, for a price you agreed to before it started.
That’s this. One real person who builds Google Sheets for small businesses all day — and hands you back exactly the thing you asked for.
The whole difference: no hourly meter, no eight-to-thirteen-day queue. A flat number, and it’s usually done in a day or two.
What you get
What you can hand me
“Consultant” here doesn’t mean advice-and-a-slide-deck. It means I build the thing. Depending on what you need, that’s:
- Custom builds — a tracker, a quoting sheet, an inventory or scheduling system, a CRM-lite — built from scratch around how you actually work.
- Formulas that do the hard part —
QUERY,VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP,ARRAYFORMULA, nested logic — the stuff you’d lose an afternoon to, done and explained. - Fixing the sheet you already have — broken references,
#REF!errors, formulas that stopped adding up, a file that’s grown into a mess. (A one-time messy-file cleanup has its own flat $300 service →) - Live dashboards — a self-updating KPI view that pulls your numbers into one clean screen. See a real live one →
- Automations — Apps Script and connected tools so the sheet updates itself, emails the report, or syncs with the apps you already use.
- A second opinion — sometimes you just want someone who knows Sheets cold to tell you the right way to structure it. That counts too.
If it lives in Google Sheets, it’s in scope. Excel too — send whichever you’ve got.
Pricing & speed
A flat number, agreed before I start
Most Sheets consultants quote you an hourly rate — usually $50 to $150 an hour — and a delivery date a week or two out. That’s the whole reason the meter is stressful: you don’t know the final bill until it arrives.
I work the opposite way.
- Flat price, up front. We agree one number before I touch anything. No hourly meter, no scope creep on your dime.
- The standard jobs already have prices: a spreadsheet cleanup is $300, a live automated dashboard is $650, report autopilot is $1,000 to set up. Custom builds get their own flat quote — one number, before we start.
- Fast, not “someday.” Most work comes back in 24–48 hours, not the 8–13 days the field runs. Bigger automation builds get a firm date up front.
You’ll always know the price and the timeline before you commit a dollar.
The free part
See it work before you pay a dollar
Before you hire anyone, it’s fair to see the work. So the first piece is free.
-
Tell me what you need.
Send the sheet you want fixed or built, or just describe the thing you wish it did. Two minutes.
-
I build a piece of it in about a day.
You get back a real working sample on your data — a live formula, a fixed tab, a mini dashboard — usually within one business day. Not a pitch deck. The actual thing.
-
Keep it either way.
Want the rest? We lock a flat price and I finish it. Not for you? Keep the demo free, no follow-up sequence.
No discovery call, no proposal to read, no contract before you’ve seen it work.
Who you’re working with
Who you’re actually hiring
I’m Colin McCarthy, and Automated Workflow is me — the person who answers your email is the person who builds your sheet. No account managers, no offshore hand-off, no ticket queue.
- A real person in Gainesville, FL — working with small businesses everywhere in the US, all over email and Google Sheets.
- Your data stays private. Never shared, never used for anything else, and deleted after the demo. NDA available on request — just ask before you send.
- I answer my own phone. Want to talk the build through first? Call or text and you get me, not a menu.
- Trained craft, not a buzzword. Anthropic Academy certified — six credentials in AI-assisted automation — and verified on Upwork, where the same work is reviewed on a public platform.
